This Privacy Policy explains how SMS Filter: Junk, Spam Blocker ("SMS Filter", "the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is developed and maintained by Muhammed Emin Aydın.

Sensitive Data Not Collected

SMS Filter uses Apple's native Message Filter (ILMessageFilterExtension) framework, so:

• No message content collection. When a text message arrives, iOS itself hands the message to our extension for a split-second classification decision, and iOS itself moves the message into the Junk/Transactions/Promotions/Inbox tab of the Messages app. All of this happens on your device — we never see, store, or transmit the text of your SMS/MMS messages.
• No Contacts access. The App does not request or use the Contacts permission, and we do not collect any data from your contacts list.
• No personal information required. We do not collect your name, address, phone number, or email address to use the App.

Local Processing

All message filtering, including matching against the spam pattern list and any personal rules you create, is performed locally on your device. Your messages do not and cannot leave your device for this purpose.

Important Disclaimer About Messages and Phone Numbers

SMS Filter helps organize incoming text messages using automated pattern matching. It is not perfect, and by using the App you acknowledge and agree that:

• The App only classifies SMS/MMS text messages and has no access to, and does not filter, block, or otherwise affect, phone calls, FaceTime calls, or any other call functionality on your device.
• Automated filtering may incorrectly classify a legitimate message as junk/spam/promotion (including but not limited to appointment reminders, delivery notifications, one-time verification/OTP codes, or other important messages), or may fail to catch an actual spam, phishing, or scam message, which will then remain in your normal Inbox.
• Any phone number, link, or contact information that appears inside the text of a message is content supplied by the original sender, not by us. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for the identity, intent, or safety of any phone number, website, or party referenced inside a message, and we assume no liability for any consequence — financial, legal, or otherwise — of contacting, calling, or responding to a number or link found in a message, whether or not that message was filtered by the App.
• You should periodically review the Junk and Promotions tabs in the Messages app to make sure nothing important was misclassified.

Your Choices

• You can disable message filtering at any time from Settings → Messages → Unknown & Spam.
• You can manage or cancel your Premium subscription at any time via Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, independent of the App.
• To request deletion of any account/device data associated with the App, contact us at the email below.
